• Opportunity to Excel is the after school program at Sequim Middle School. We provide student transportation home so that all students can receive additional teacher help and/or participate in after school clubs and activities. A late bus, running modified stops, will leave from Helen Haller Stadium Parking Lot at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Middle school students who stay late will receive a late bus pass from the teacher they have been working with. All teachers have bus route maps with selected stops. Science Fair Club
The Science Fair Club meets every Tuesday after school until 4:00 pm.in Ms. Beckett's Science lab, room 401.  Every student investigates a topic of their choice and conducts an independent research project. The final projects are presented after school in the Spring and eligible projects continue on to the Washington State Science Fair. Since it takes many months to conduct the project and analyze the results, interested students should plan on attending all science fair club meetings to ensure that their project can be completed.
    Art Club

Mr. Capps will facilitate Art Club every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:45-4:00 p.m. Students who sign up for this club will have access to the Art Room as a studio space in which to work on art in a supportive setting with other students with the same interests.

This is a good opportunity for students who enjoy making art, students who can’t fit art into their schedules, or anyone who wants extra time for making art.

There is a $15 fee per semester due at the beginning to replace supplies that are used.

Art Club is a mixed grade opportunity and all are welcome to join. If interested sign up with Mr. Capps soon, the openings fill up fast.

    Book Club

related activity. We sponsor Book Fair and Family Reading Week. For more information visit
