Superintendent Gary Neal
Gary Neal first came on board with the Sequim School District in July 2014 as the assistant superintendent of teaching and learning. Prior to that, he was principal at West Valley High School in the Spokane area for eight years. He taught for sixteen years at the high school level and has served as an administrator at the middle school and high school levels.
Neal's own educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural education from Washington State University in 1980, a certificate for continuing elementary and secondary teaching from Eastern Washington University in 1987, a Master of Arts degree in administration and curriculum from Gonzaga University in 1992, and his Washington state superintendent certification from Washington State University in 2014.
Mr. Neal began his term as interim superintendent on July 1, 2015. The Board removed the term "interim" from his title on November 2, 2015, and appointed him as superintendent at that time.
