Greywolf Elementary School Principal Donna Hudson is 2017 Regional Principal of the Year for elementary schools, awarded this honor via a vote from the other principals on the Olympic Peninsula. Hudson now advances to the state level of honor. Each year, the Association of Washington School Principals (AWSP) recognizes three principals with Principal of the Year awards, celebrating elementary, middle and high school principals. The awards provide significant recognition on the regional and state level.
“This is a pretty special honor for me and our school,” said Hudson. “The fact that this award is voted on by the elementary principals in our ESD region is pretty special, as well.”
"We are so proud of Donna's accomplishments,” said Dr. Ann Renker, Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning. “The Sequim School District is grateful that she shares her talents with the staff at the building and district levels, as well as with the children and families that Greywolf Elementary serves."
“As you know, I am a big fan of our Greywolf staff and students. They have worked so hard over the last several years,” said Hudson. “As their principal, I take great pride in their work and successes. I feel this is a building-wide honor, and I am so please for our whole school community.”
Hudson has worked for the Sequim School District for 28 years as a teacher, guidance counselor, assistant principal and principal. She has been principal at Greywolf Elementary for seven years.
