SEF Science Café on March 11 will feature Damon May, Computational Biologist and Co-Director of Project Violet on "Making Medicines from Nature. Project Violet is named for the feisty 11-year old farm girl from Sequim with bright red hair, a contagious smile and a huge love for nature, pets and people who attended Helen Haller Elementary. She was also one of a few hundred children diagnosed each year with brainstem glioma, a rare, deadly and insidious inoperable tumor. This café will be held at the SHS cafeteria. A light selection of foods and beverages will be available for purchase, hosted by the SHS Robotics Team.
